William, I'm so grateful that God placed each of us in each others lives 6 years ago now. He has provided the way for us, as a couple, to become more faithful and obedient towards Him. I pray that we continue to grow closer both with Him and each other and that we may in return, help those less fortunate than us. We may not be with each other right now and this deployment has delayed things, but we both know that we have much to be thankful for...each other, our health, family, friends, safety, careers, shelter, food and water, and our future together. We are truly blessed!
I want to thank you for being such an amazing husband. I'm so proud of you in every way imaginable! As a little girl I always thought about what it would be like to be married and you have met and exceeded all of those expectations. You are also an intelligent, polished, and very capable soldier who's always on his toes and willing to protect our country at any cost, and I thank you for that!!!
A year ago tonight, I vowed to you the following, and continue to do so until death do us part.
I, Natalie, take thee William, to be my lawfully wedded husband, secure in the knowledge that you will be my constant friend, my faithful partner in life, and my one true love. On this special day, I give to you in the presence of God and all those in attendance my pledge to stay by your side as your faithful wife in sickness and in health, in joy and in sorrow, as well as through the good times and the bad. I further promise to love you without reservation, comfort you in times of distress, encourage you to achieve all of your goals, laugh with you and cry with you, grow with you in mind and spirit, always be open and honest with you, and cherish you for as long as we both shall live.
Thanks for marrying me and being the greatest husband (and soldier)! I love you and miss you so much my hubby!!!
