Christmas Morning at Mom's

William sent me the peach colored tulips for Christmas. They were beautiful! Thanks hubby!!!

William with his birthday balloons from wifey :-)

That's us...all blurry.

Aren and Nate.

Dad goofing off and mom in the background.

Nate got us a corkscrew so we can open our sparkling cider, lol!

We gave Aren a blanket.

Nate got pot holders and money from us.

Almost all of the kids...missed you Nick and Kristy.

Dad got money.

One of the things mom gave us was a towel origami book I had been wanting and she creatively thought of making a towel soldier; he has sunglasses, a hat, and an assault pack on. He's all set!

Dad gave us 4 of our Waterford iced beverage glasses.

Christmas Day at the Salazar's

Jimmy and Audrea in the kitchen getting dinner ready.

We made Eric wear this. Look how happy he is, lol.

Yeah, we were bored but had a lot of fun as you can see!

We gave Grandma a blanket.

William with his parents. We gave them pillows.

Haley got an Easy Bake Oven from Aunt Natalie and Uncle Daniel (William) which I think I played with more than she did.

We gave Tyler a Crayola glowboard.

Christmas Night at Dad's

Dad gives us stockings every year so this year we surprised him with one.

My childhood stocking.

More presents...too many.

Arrival Day

William got to see his cake first thing.

William and I went to dinner at Francesca's. It was delicious!

Hubby is all smiles :-)

Peek-a-boo?

Mom got William a bathing suit for the hot tub at her house and our trip to Sanibel Island.

My present to William. What's inside?

A new electric razor to use in Iraq.

Yep, William lit his own candles.

In the process of singing, "Happy Birthday."

I'd say we came close to getting a years worth of kisses in...you can never have too many though!

William's Arrival

William finally made it home on Christmas Eve. He had requested to be home by the 20th but that evidently didn't work. I was beginning to think that he wasn't going to make it home until after Christmas. Well, on my way from dad's to mom's (in my pajamas)on Christmas Eve morning I get a text message from William asking me if I wanted to have lunch with him in an hour. He new I would call him back instead of texting him back and he was right. He told me he had just boarded the plane in Atlanta and would be in Gainesville in an hour! I was the most excited person in the world at that point. I finished the drive to mom's and put real clothes on and flew to the airport. I decided to get to the airport first and then do my makeup if I had time so I wouldn't be late. What a wonderful day that was!!!

William's Birthday Cake

When I found out William would be coming home around his birthday I knew I had to have a cake for him! I decided to have Ms. Debbie (she made our wedding cakes) make a cake for all occasions for all of the events through August. William and I always talk about how we only ate 1 bite of our wedding cake. I had Ms. Debbie make the cake the same flavor that we had back in June. She was also able to put some of our pictures on it. It was beautiful!

William's 12th Package

I mailed packages 12, 13, and 14 to William in Iraq while he was on his way home so that he would have some surprises when he got back. As you can see I got him a new pillow.

William's parents bought him some new green wool socks and tan undershirts (I washed them so they would smell like home).
